"Jean-Philippe Gbamin is expected to have an operation to "clean" the scar on his injured thigh.

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed the midfielder has suffered a set-back in his recovery from a damaged right quadriceps.

The Blues believe it has put the 24-year-old's return to the team back by two months."

Lad had a history of thigh problems that were being healed but not prevented from reoccurring. Happened again after he signed and our medical staff decided to that trying to fix him long term was a better option. Sadly he's ended up with scar tissue that need removing and so has been set back. Hopefully once he's fit he'll never have to worry about that thigh again.
