I do wonder if the people who criticised Gbamin can actually play football. It does take time to get to the swing of things. Perhaps we should have rule never to criticise new/young players until they play a certain number of games.

We need to build their confidence not shatter them.
He’s a pro. He’ll know himself he wasn’t at it. He doesn’t need Terry on twittergram telling him he’s crap.

I reckon it’s the minority having a go at him, most people will be behind the lad.

Most of the criticism on here was tongue and cheek and people being edgy. Same would of been on Twitter. Literally take it with a pinch of salt.

There is no way GB is reading this stuff on here or twitter. Our own fan base becoming defensive of him is making this more of a story than what it is.

In the let's just make his name up as we go along style my dad has excelled himself with this one when I was up in Liverpool yesterday.......................

Jimbambi!!!

Even Paul Scholes admitted he needed at least 6 games before he can operate at his optimum level.

Nice positive article on the lad from someone who’s watched him far more than any of us

Interesting paragraph -
Gueye did have the better passing completion but I think this is difficult to read into given that Mainz played very direct football last season and so Gbamin was forced to play a lot of risky passes, while Everton have players technically better than those that Gbamin had at Mainz.

Wonder what the people who slate Ganas passing think of this

That sentence is a bit vague when it doesn’t specify types of passes.

Well it does kind of, saying Mainz are more direct, but I see what you mean, manipulated stat taken out of context. A hundred 2 yard passes as opposed to 100 long balls makes a difference I suppose.

Chances are either he or Adeniran will be starting this weekend. I just hope that 1) the fans don’t get on his back at home and 2) if they do it doesn’t hit his confidence so hard he loses all faith in himself. He needs some support. Maybe celebrate the good parts of his game with Olay’s instead of bemoaning his shortcomings
