Why not...mate if I had his salary I could easily afford to go up and down in a private jet certainly on a weekly basis or every few days...and probably only back to report on his progress then he buggers off back to his homeland where again with his money would have access I am sure to the best rehabilitation centers in the world...
There’s quarantine rules each way so one trip would include a month quarantine. Also, he’s probably on £50k a week. Half goes on tax. A private jet to france and back starts at £15k so no, he’s not doing that every week. There’s no conspiracy theory.

The Athletic article sounds very promising. In particular the bit about the chap who did his rehabilitation work in Paris describing him as a physical monster as well as saying he is a lovely bloke.

He is only 25. I'm looking forward to seeing him being brought back in to the squad as we near the end of the season.
Easy to forget he was only 23 when we bought him. Still a young man with his whole career in front of him. Hopefully the injuries will not effect him too much and we see a full recovery. I've said on here a few times, it's possible this guy could be the missing link in our midfield that allows us to play attacking full backs without leaving us too exposed. At worst, lets hope he could at least be another quality midfielder allowing us to rotate and rest players like Allan.

I must read that Athletic article.

I would imagine that the insurance is for end of career stuff, insurance against temporary loss through injury would be too expensive, the premiums and excess would make it not a viable option for either the club or insurance company. It would be like trying to insure a race car against damage during a race.
Yes maybe that’s true, I was just thinking whenever players are injured playing for England then their wages are covered for the length of the injury.

Not sure about quarantine rules for Elite professionals...I think they are or at least were exempt not that long ago...15k for private flight to France....I am sure he can get one for much less....and no probably not doing it every week...maybe once a month or 2 to 3 weeks to check with the Everton staff...

So we’ve discovered that all you tinfoil hat brigadists in here are like this because you’re jealous he earns more money than you? Excellent.

The rules for Elite Professionals relate to participating in international competitions. Not keeping conspiracy theorists happy who want to see injured players in training session videos.
I’ve checked, £15k for the round trip is about right.

I can get a flight from London to Paris one way in a small private plane for under 3000 euros...peanuts for the footballers...I did not know he was injured...I am sure i heard ancelotti saying that he wasn't injured anymore nor did he gave any indications that he had some kind of relapse.

Pandemic

Can anyone explain how much of the wages Everton has to pay when he is injured? Presume Everton has an insurance, that will cover partly of his wages?
