So with Doucoure crocked can we finally take the kid gloves off with this fella?

9 months since his surgery on his achilles he should be starting training with the squad by now if he hasn't had any setbacks which according to Carlo he hasn't.

We cant afford to be carrying too much deadweight at this stage of the season and Delph isn't relinquishing his title as being the squad waster.

Get him training over the international break and have him in the squad for the Palace game to start getting 15-20 minutes here and there to build up fitness.
Simple.

Problem solved.

A bit of clarity from the club would be useful, but the Ancelotti team plays it a lot differently when it comes to talking about injuries and recovery times. Even if he says a player will play at the weekend you need to take it with a pinch of salt.

It's frustrating, but that's how he is and I'd much rather have a Carlo who treats injury news like that than literally have any other football manager in the world at the helm.

I would like to see him get minutes before the end of the season but its looking increasingly unlikely. Psychological scars can actual be worse than physical ones. Lets just hope the slow return is to ensure minimum chance of relapse.

I think the club haven’t disclosed much because they didn’t expect the fanbase to be such colossal cryarses with so little else going on in their lives that they have to go know exactly what Gbamin is up to at all times of day rather than a normal person who accepts that he’s back when he’s back.

I just dont think its feasible, but I've been wrong before and will many, many times again.

I believe you are right. It's a good while back now but I kind of remember Newcastle suing the FA (?) to pay Michael Owens' wages because he had been seriously injured on International duty and the Club felt they shouldn't have to suffer the financial burden. I'd take it if there was some sort of insurance involded there wouldn't have been an issue. Mind you I may be misremembering, I often do.

Nah the club have brought it on themselves. They've given timescales that have been missed by miles, and continued to give 'updates' with very little information when they know people want it. They could have shut it down ages ago by just saying exactly what you've said, but they chose not to. It's been poorly handled, simple as that really.

Sad to say we will probably never see him in an Everton shirt

There you go just to tide you over.

Two month thigh injury has turned into 17 months of injury hell and counting. It really is difficult to see how he can come back from this, have their been any cases of players out for this long and returning to play top level football again? Can only think of Diaby at Arsenal who was never able to reach his potential.
