achillies injuries are bad, he re-ruptures it and in all likelihood that's the end of top flight footie for him. Given that he hasn't played in forever can't really see him being effective at all this season.

he still has 3? years on his contract, might be wise to just target next season.

Which is why Khedira on a 6 month loan in Jan makes perfect sense.

I read about that as a kid and spent a few months worrying that I could indeed catch fire at any moment.
It's highly unlikely unless you are an elderly female with chronic alcoholism and even then most of the recorded cases had some sort of igniter near by, it's a bit of a myth tbh.

Don't think he would be prepared to sign on for just 6 months especially at his age, think he would want longer.

Could imagine Carlo getting him in on loan until end of the season and if he stays fit / does well we'll give him a 1-2 year deal and offload Delph.

Have to remember if we get Europe next season we are going to need a bigger squad of quality - cant play Allan and Doucoure 2 games every week and expect them to stay fit.

I'm sure the club will have full oversight of what is going on. They sent him to France to be under the supervision of specialists.

I'm not sure there was ever any a 'set' date he was meant to be back that was made public. I'm sure there'd have been a rough time but it was flexible.

The point was to have him do the individual rehab and conditioning work under a specialist, who will almost certainly be in weekly, if not daily, contact with the club. They'll know where he is with his recovery. Hopefully once he's back, it's a case of a bit of contact training and he's good to go into the squad.
As you point out the club will know ,all the data will be uploaded for the club ,his every movement will be noted .
