Is this the latest from Carlo mate? I'm sure I remember him saying the lad was back in training and would be ready to come into the team this month.
Yeah he said that Tuesday. "I can't wait to see him myself, he should be back soon(with the team on England. Not the first team squad. He's still in France for some inexplicable reason)" or something along the lines of that. Which is crazy because they was meant to happen about a month ago.

Assume Allan is out until April or so, he couldn’t even walk off the pitch. Did you see him and big dunc arguing, Allan obviously wanted to sit on the bench and watch the match but dunc wanted him assessed in the training room. Only one winner

Hmm, I think they're just being extra careful mate.

They're following instructions from a doctor out there I believe, so if that doc is not 100% happy, then he won't have come back.

It's crap like cause we need a player in there, but at least with all the conditioning work he's done, it should be a case of him being able to play after a week of training with the rest of the squad. Not doing 90, obviously, but at least being available.

Im not disputing that he's doing something, I just think once he started doing those individual things he should have been over here. I've no idea why we are just letting him do his thing with no club oversight.

I mean, I think our physios are awful but to still not even be in England a month after he was meant to be is pretty weird..

I'm sure the club will have full oversight of what is going on. They sent him to France to be under the supervision of specialists.

I'm not sure there was ever any a 'set' date he was meant to be back that was made public. I'm sure there'd have been a rough time but it was flexible.

The point was to have him do the individual rehab and conditioning work under a specialist, who will almost certainly be in weekly, if not daily, contact with the club. They'll know where he is with his recovery. Hopefully once he's back, it's a case of a bit of contact training and he's good to go into the squad.

Without taking sides in this debate, can I ask a reasonable and calm question? Is this guy ever going to be fit to play for EFC and does anyone actually know wtf is going on?

It's fairly normal for a player in any sport to rehab elsewhere after a serious injury. Club physios are rarely world-renowned experts on rehabbing any given specific injury, and when you're committing wages at current levels it makes sense to have your players work with the very best.

The club's staff will supervise and there will be plenty of communication back and forth, but at the end of the day there's little point in paying experts if you're not going to defer to their professional judgment.

Maybe that's true but I cannot think of another player who has had a pretty significant injury who isn't tended to by the clubs staff. I mean, it's probably an obvious situation that just doesn't pop up every day so you rarely hear about it but he's been in France training for about..what, 3 months now? At least 2.
