Strange thing is, for the half hour or so he played at Hull when replacing Gomes he looked 10 times the player that Gomes is, winning possession, going forward when in possession, and playing a number of well directed and weighted passes. Hardly set the world alight but still making it a bit of a puzzle that since then he's been moved even further back in the midfield ranking -- some feat seeing how weak the midfield is.

A decision should have been taken on this guy in the summer. He had a full pre season - we should have deemed him good enough or replaced him.

And we had another chance in January and missed that too.

Would be strange to let him go though. Leaves us with Doucs, Allan and VDB for 2/3 midfield positions. The alternatives are not great for different reasons: Gomes, Delph, Onyango and Holgate.
