Bit bizarre this. We have three competent midfielders, one of whom isn’t fit.

Something must be going on.
Competent is the key word. Multiple managers and coaches who see him every day in training have all agreed the guy is not up to scratch to play for us, so got to take their word for it. This is a chance for him to build form and confidence, but if he doesn’t get a game for CSKA we’ll know the guy just isn’t cut out for it at all.

We've just had miserable luck with him, and he could say that we ruined him. Injury was unfortunate rushing him back was negligent.

Insurance should have been claimed
Rushing him back was probably a result of stating he didn't need an operation when he was first injured, and said he would be out for about six weeks. Ten weeks later came the 'unnecessary' operation with a forecast of a further six weeks to recover.
Then somebody realised an eff up and tried to get him on the pitch too soon, to save face. We all know how that little piece of wisdom worked out.
In all @Verbal Kint, I think your initial sentence is probably very close to the truth.

Nothing bizarre about it, he's sh*t and we have a way to get him off the wage bill for a few months, with the hope he does enough to secure a move away...
Whether its down to injuries or not, this signing hasn't worked out and isn't recoverable at this point.....its time for a big clear out, and this lad is most definitely a part of that
