Would be great for him to get significant game time tonight. Actually think starting him would be less risk. Injured players coming on as a sub and not getting to the pace of the game always seems a more riskier option for aggravating an injury or picking up a wild tackle from an angry opposition player.

I'm sure if he'd been training fully and not in isolation we'd have seen him in the opening two games

Why would the exit door be a logical answer? Struggling to find the logic in that one...
I think if he's fit and available to play tonight (given Covid guidelines and fitness), then Benitez will definitely start him. He obviously liked the look of him in the US pre-season
