2024/25 Jesper Lindstrom

Yeah definitely some talent there, needs to get used to the physicality and find his shooting boots but he’s got some skills. Shame any time he plays he’s going to be watching the ball fly over his head the majority of the time.

Put a few really nice balls in that DCL would have got on the end of but Beto has no idea how to poach a goal.

….i thought some of his interplay was good and a few decent crosses. Looks the type who would blend well with players on the same wavelength such as Ndiaye. Saying that, I was really disappointed with his technique in those one-on-ones.

Bits of encouragement last night.

Another who has been managed appallingly by the manager, with his lack of minutes, no wonder his confidence is shot.

He should have been used much more than a few fitting minutes here and there.

He made some brilliant runs and played some fine passes, and will score and create goals if given the opportunity and gets some self-belief.

Dyche will bomb him because he missed those chances.

Obviously lacks confidence after a poor last season, those 1v1s were bad, however there was also lots of good things in his performance too and I wouldn't be writing him off yet, totally agree with you.

Lindstrom barely played last season and it showed last night.

I think he will be a good signing as you can see the potential in him.

However, he needs a good deal more time to get properly up to speed.

There is no criticism of the manager in handling him up to now.
The player isn't ready yet but certainly could be good in the future.

There’s is clearly a quality player there, speed, creative. I feel for him because he now knows full well he isn’t the managers kind of clogger that he loves so when he gets the odd chance, he knows he has to deliver immediately or he won’t be seen again unless there’s an injury crisis. That results in him being anxious and snatching at chances in a desperate attempt to impress. A good manager sees the quality he has, puts an arm around him and gives him a consistent run of games to find form.

I’m getting Bilyaletdinov vibes - looks like he has talent but heart of a mouse, timid type. Is that the sort of player Dyche is going to get in his team? He’ll probably try to swap him in January for Phil Bardsley or someone like that.
