2024/25 Jesper Lindstrom

Just give the lad a run out of several games on the bounce. Nothing to lose as Harrison is next to useless. Even try him in the middle
Exactly this - we need to stop the big chopping and changes.

Personally, I'm not sure how good he is but let's give him a good run before binning him off.

Now as for doucoure now he certainly can F off... I can only imagine him and Beto playing short passes together

I’m not sure if he is good enough yet, but you can tell he understands the game and has the athleticism to make an impact. He may be a choke artist (jury is still out), but we need to see him actually get a run of games before we write him off. I do like that he scraps and gets after it. He is not a luxury player and will put the work in. I like to see that.

He started poorly but got better as the game progressed. He appears to have a lot more ability than McNeil or Harrison although I'm not convinced that's he's a wide player.

He is clearly low on confidence but given time ( which we don't have 😆) I think he could make an excellent contribution.

Dyche won't play him over McNeil or Harrison because he isn't as good as them defensively

I didnt say drop him. Again putting words in my mouth like so many on here are fond of doing. I just think its reasonable to expect professional footballers to finish relatively easy chances. Show me the bit where I said he should be dropped which led to your hilarious reply.

Didn't really miss both on target and goalkeeper had to make saves, first one should have put Beto in as he was in a better position. Second great save off the keeper, but lucky as well as it hit his arm. He had a very quiet first half but grew into the game as it went on, seemed to work well with N'diaye, which boxes well for the future. Had an awful season last year but first time in the prem and first game. Wish our fans would give new signings a chance.

He missed two gilt edged chances that should have won us the game. Im not writing him off or saying dont give him a chance i just think there comes a point where our attacking players have to take responsibility and take the chances that win us the games. Always excuses when they miss and the focus becomes how badly managed we are or the focus is on the usual suspects for our predicament. Just for a change itd be nice to see our attacking players showing a bit of bottle and killer instinct. They train all week and are paid handsomely to make the difference in the final third. Im not bothered about last season or the fact hes just arrived here hes not a kid making his debut and standards have to be higher.

He actually could have cut back to Beto twice and we probably would have scored. Maybe that comes with chemistry.

You can tell he is trying too hard to make an impression and just needs to settle down a bit. I could tell he was going to miss the one on one before he even got near the keeper- he didn’t look confident whatsoever. He knows unless he does something big he is back to riding pine. I look at our team and Jesper and Ndiaye always look to make the most impact when they are on the pitch for extended minutes. I don’t think that is a coincidence. They are looking to make things happen.

He showed bottle by taking on the chances and also taking a penalty in the shootout and he won't be the first to miss good chances nor the last.
