2024/25 Jesper Lindstrom

It was a strange half. We seemed to play just expecting to win. Seems like the manager rightly put a rocket up all of them, and said more intensity needed 2nd half, which we got.

Oh I'm not arguing Lindstrom was crap today and definitely looked massively frustrated, as I said I think Glasner knew how to nullify him totally out wide, probably why as his manager he never played him as a winger 😂

Read fully through this thread mate, you had posters saying he was crap and send him back after a pre season game. Same after his first cup game, same after a bad 45 today.
There is a huge correlation between the posters who loathe Lindstrom, and have since he first signed, and those who will absolve Dyche of any and all responsibility for anything that happens on the pitch. They've chosen him as the sacrificial lamb.

He did have a poor game today, though.

Why deflect? Lindstrom was lying on the floor at midfield when that happened.

You think he was the worst player on the pitch at HT, I think DCL and Doucoure were worse, and had more of a negative impact on our play/scoreline than Lindstrom did (DCL missing sitter & Doucoure not defending from the corner).

I don't think he played well - his spot kicks did result in some of our better chances/positions in the first half, but the corner before the goal it was bad for him to not get shut of it, and you can't have a little huff after losing the ball in front of the manager.

He was right to get hooked off, but so should Doucoure, McNeil had offered ZERO the first half, and DCL didn't even connect with a gilt edged chance and was useless. But the manager has his favourites... he's fortunate one of them came up trumps for him.

The way you're going on he had an Ashley Young red card level performance - and for whatever reason, I think you're blowing the negative of his performance up out of all proportion.

….no excuses, he was very poor today. So disappointed after promise he showed last week. It was an obvious substitution to make,

He’s got a bit of rebuilding to do, I doubt he’ll be starting next time but it’s a long old season.

Mitchell completely took him out the game by playing right up against him mate imo, likely managers orders having had Lindstrom at Frankfurt.

I’m paraphrasing a bit, but Dyche said the first half was poor but we know we can correct it with the right players on the pitch.

Hope he takes this to heart and turns it around.
