2024/25 Jesper Lindstrom

I think this is close to the truth.

He is just after a terribly poor season, he has come to a new country, league, club and he needs time to settle.

I think that if we were now sitting on ten or twelve points with people talking about Europe rather than relegation it would be much easier for him to settle.
The players must be feeling the pressure after the first few results and there must be a nervousness after losing some games which should not have been lost.

I think we will have to look at him over a season before we reach and judgement on him.
Yeah but considering we only have limited spaces for loans should we be gambling on players with such low confidence who are potentially not the strongest minded who are also coming into a very demanding league at a club up in the air? Without trying to be a knob how long are we supposed to wait for him to find his confidence and will he?

I thought it was accepted that he can play a few positions and winger was one of them? A few people gave his performances on the wing against Southampton and Leicester good reviews (Although i didnt think they were anything to write home about myself) so he must be capable there.

Could have given him 10 minutes at the end, even as a number 10 instead of shoeing Mcneil to right wing for 10 minutes and Doucoure as a number 10, you know, put a round peg in a round hole kind of idea.
Good point but with unknown quantities like Jesper, Tim and others, I can kind of see why he sticks with the experienced guys like Doucs and McNeil in last ten minutes, these young guys can be brainless and you can end up conceding a couple of goals near end of game

Yeah, nothing to do with not having the ball for 60+ minutes every game and running yourself in to the ground chasing the opposition. Plenty of awful capitulations with the usual suspects over the years as well, the major difference is that Dyche gives those players infinite chances but can’t wait to chuck newbies under the bus. I bet Jesper hasn’t grown up playing football at any age group for a team not actually wanting the ball before.
