2024/25 Jesper Lindstrom

Partly at fault for the goal as he gave the ball away, the person truly at fault mate was Doucoure who got out jumped (or rather her didn't bother jumping) by the palace midget CB.

There’s a few you could look at to be honest mate, I’d hope a few are in the video room tomorrow mate.

Very similar to the Leicester goal the week before and we could have conceded a second scrappy one yesterday after their first.

Ever seen sheedy constantly go backwards and kill attacks , ever see robben do a 40 yard backwards dribble to avoid using his right, ever see downing do any of that either.

Awaiting the answer mate

Why are you getting so worked up over this?

I never said McNeil was as good as Arjen Robben, obviously, I merely pointed out a couple of professional players that never used their other foot but didn’t let that stop them playing top level football.

Irritating when players do a performative "I'm disappointed" thing when they mess up. Doucoure spends 5 seconds holding his head in his hands when he misses a chance, rather than following up. Lindstrom seems to do a sulky head down, slumped shoulders woe is me when he loses the ball. Just get on with it. Poor effort really.

He just seems to be your standard Scandinavian winger. Much from the same mould as Nicolas Alexandersson and Jesper Blomquist.

His corners were promising, but he has to be able to contribute more than just set pieces in our situation.
Hopefully file this one away for him as a lesson learned about the need to graft.

You can't write the lad off just yet.

He clearly needs time to adapt. To me, it's clear he's yards off the pace. He probably needs some time to build confidence, too. He barely got a kick last season, with just a handful of minutes on the pitch. Before that, he was playing at Brøndby and Eintracht Frankfurt – both miles away from the intensity and pace of the Premier League, in a struggling side.

People were acting as though he was the next Kanchelskis before we'd seen him kick a ball. The clamour for him to start this season, and the fume towards Dyche for not starting him from the off, looks even more silly now.

My only concern is really when he missed a chance against Southampton he basically sulked and waved his arms until the shoot out . Saturday we saw more of the same until he was hooked to be honest . Certainly seems to be a bit temperamental , I suspect there is a player in there but I’d imagine he needs careful management.

Quite a few have picked up on it.

I knew he wouldn't come out for the second half, you could see the entire bench still looking at him after one sulk with no effort whatsoever to recover after the ball had moved. I'm sure the club have had words - you can't accept that.

Just because of my seat for me it was a lot more noticeable against Southampton, to the extent I watched him a bit more Saturday . It’s one of those things once you see it you can’t stop noticing it .

I just think for a player only on loan, who you would expect to be busting a gut to impress, Saturday was very poor. I didnt have a problem with him until then. Yes ive been in this thread saying he shouldnt have wasted the chances he had and i stand by that. I hadnt seen anything of him until he came here so he gets no credit from me for what he did or didnt do elsewhere I will judge him on what he does here. What ive seen so far hasnt overly impressed. A couple of good bits of movement in games doesnt tell me hes definitely got something. He needs to quickly become more ruthless in the final third and get up to speed or he can sit on the bench for the rest of the season and then go back to Napoli in the Summer.
