2024/25 Jesper Lindstrom

I don't think so. Lindstrom and Ndiaye are exactly the type of players Beto should thrive under because they play through balls and with it on the deck. I imagine that's why they were brought in.
Agree. Beto is your classic thread a ball through to run onto it striker, I mean why we recruited him to play as a target man in a Dyche system is a question. But Beto up top with Lindstrom, N'Diaye and Harrison behind him wouldn't be bad you know... we will likely never see it though.

I don’t think we did recruit him to be that I think they brought him in mainly because he was someone they could get but also because they thought he could be someone who could kind of fill in for dom and also play with him but as it’s turned out he hasn’t been able to do either of them.

Or maybe because we haven't a clue about our recruitment strategy. Piecemeal random recruitment. With no long term idea

Think it also depends on price up front and how the way it is paid over the entire contract. I realise other teams sometimes have to do this, but it seems to me not as strictly as we have to do it. Our hands are tied.

The modern fan does not look at the long game anymore. It’s a shame.

Best in the world or worst in the world. There’s no in the middle anymore.

Was it ever any different? Unfortunately for us we just aren't good enough for players to ease their way which is the ideal way to go about it.

Remember when players were ‘out of form’?

Since about 2010, it’s been totally polarised.

Great or awful. Not ‘having a bad spell’. Does no one else have a bad spell in work?

If my performance at work was under the same scrutiny as Premier League footballers I'd get more abuse than Michael Keane.
