Joel Robles

Thought he did well today. Looked more composed and confident then last season. Could this been down to the organisation of the defence in front of him or better quality goalkeeping coaching in training.

Did well today. There was one, possibly two times where I'd have questioned his positioning, but I've thought the same with Stekelenberg as well this season.

There's not a huge amount between them, but I reckon Stek should get the nod as soon as he's fit.

He commands his box better - his distribution is far better, not much between them , but to announce he is dropped two weeks in advance is plain stupid by RK,IMO!

I'll have to respectfully disagree Joey

I like Robles, but Stekky has had some great performances and is most certainly our #1 in my opinion

Stekky's performance against City was one of the better goalkeeping displays seen at Everton in nearly a decade. I don't see how you can drop him after that. He'd have to have a number of bad games first before I'd entertain the notion

Ah, I didn't know Koeman had said Stek was back in ( for Chelsea or Swansea ? ). He's second choice so he's not really dropping Robles though, he just stood in for Stek today.

To be fair to him, the howler performance at Sunderand aside, Robles was pretty sound throughout his extended run in goal last season.

Fgs he can do no more than keep a clean sheet what game were you watching????

Tim Howard would have kept a clean sheet today, he had next to nothing to do.

Let's look at the facts, Steklenburg was bought as a number two. Robles would have been out the door if we got a number one. he doesn't trust him for the league cup.

That's not my opinion but the opinion of one of the greatest centerbacks of previous generations.
