Joel Robles

It's something that can be used to evidence that he isn't good enough to be a regular #1 at premier league level

If we're going to be a challenge to the top clubs then we need more than a basic shot stopper, or at least an awesome back four to make up for his short comings

Neither he or Stek are the answer IMO

His distribution doesn't just need work either, it's downright awful and is most certainly a need for concern
City have a keeper mate whose distribution is great but he can't save shots for [Poor language removed].

Well it's a "meh" from me, he can stick around as back up if he likes, but I think we all know he isn't going to win any awards.

True this but problem is he has no one to back up, criminal from Koeman getting Stek in the summer, a total waste of time money and more importantly point.

Fair enough folks, but I've been on the "wrong" side of the zeigeist with a player before and the worm always turns

This is just another Gibson or Del situation, where unrealistic expectations are placed on a player which they can never hope to live up to

Most of the people banging the drum for Joel will eventually turn on him when he inevitably fails to live up to the hype

Until that inevitable day occurs, and it WILL occur, I'll be getting on with other things. I've had my say

It's a no from me decent number 2 but that's about it, thought he should have saved Hulls second poor positioning, still got a hand to it and still failed to save it, and should have got to the shot that lead to the rs goal, of cause it's all imho. It's a new goalie for me.
Oh no not that bender of a free kick impossible to save that the sky pundit free kick mystro
Therie Henry stated the point of if he did well to get near it, and if he had saved it it would have been save of the season - watch it from behind the shot it was like a leg break with speed!
Impossible to keep out!

I don't think there is much between Stek and Robles. Afraid both are good reserve keepers who you would hope not to have to call on.

I think the main diff is for one his career is over, has shown that time and time again anything he had has now gone, just like Tim Howard, lets be honest he couldnt get in a lower league sides squad while the other is a younger keeper looking to learn and develop.

Koeman/Stek = Walter Smith/Gazza. Them days should be long over.

They turn on him now when he made three crucial saves, and kept a clean sheet god forbid if he lets five in v Chelsea?
