I don't know what it is Joey, the lad just makes me laugh. He's so ungainly
I don't care how he looks as long as he keeps clean sheets, and commands his box he is young a bit to learn trained with Degea who had his faults when first on the scene in the Prem, TBF give him a good run to see if he has got it , he has improved not the finished article, but a young prospect - the Stek is 34 years old and injury prone- so let's see!

True this but problem is he has no one to back up, criminal from Koeman getting Stek in the summer, a total waste of time money and more importantly point.
No you're absolutely right, as I say Robles can be a number 2 is fine by me, but take nothing away from the fact we need a new number 1, amongst other many things.

I think the main diff is for one his career is over, has shown that time and time again anything he had has now gone, just like Tim Howard, lets be honest he couldnt get in a lower league sides squad while the other is a younger keeper looking to learn and develop.

Koeman/Stek = Walter Smith/Gazza. Them days should be long over.

I'm not sure it is as simple as that, there are not many top line keepers out there and to get one in January would take up a sizeable part of any transfer kitty we may have. I am willing to believe that Koeman is prioritising out field players. Hopefully Koeman will get the keeper eventually.
Pure speculation, I know, but it is a theory.

Oh no not that bender of a free kick impossible to save that the sky pundit free kick mystro
Therie Henry stated the point of if he did well to get near it, and if he had saved it it would have been save of the season - watch it from behind the shot it was like a leg break with speed!
Impossible to keep out!

Like I said in my opinion, just because Henry said it and he works for sky doesn't make so, the amount of stick sky pundits get on this forum tells you all you need to know about them. If you look at it front on he's to far to his left, and he was stood to far outside the first man in the wall for me , it wasn't even in the top corner not like the first free kick that hit the angle of the post and bar. Only my opinion like.

It's his small face and enormous mouth. Just all out of proportion.

These last two seasons we've had stecklebeaut and howard, both worse than robles, the lad could have had two seasons worth of development under his belt, given the amount he has been messed around he's done fine, and is sound enough until we can bring in a top class keeper, if we can

Good shout that, both Martinez and Koeman have dropped him for inferior keepers after he has stepped in and done much better then the No1.
Game time is where a keeper really learns his trade, under match pressure, the amount of games Howard and Stek dropped us points, at least if Robles had been the one to make these errors he could of learnt something, which in the long run would benefit him and the club.
