Be careful worshiping false idols. He will have the good odd game sure but can he do that for a whole season? Hopefully he will have the rest of this season to prove he can or not and then we will know in the summer if we need a GK as a priority.

Good luck to him but everything in the past points to being prone to blunders.

What an amazing save. Don't get me wrong, coming out and taking those balls out of the air is tougher against a tougher team - yes, they are great on set pieces, but clearly CP didn't have a lot of fight today - but he was assertive and sound today. And again, what a friggin save.

Solid keeper, is he top class? Not sure. Is he the best keeper at the club? Without a doubt. Could we attract a better keeper at this moment in time? I doubt it.

I would hope he is given a run of games to establish himself and that he is not dropped for Stek as soon as he has a bad game. If by the end of the season it doesn't look like he can hack it, then we are in the market for a number one keeper. If it looks like he can hack it, then we are in the market for a solid backup keeper.
