Joel Robles

Could also be our defenders have been better because they are more confident with Robles behind them mate.
Could be. I just think Williams has been massive for the side, and as a unit our defenders have been great. Koeman should also get some praise too as we are missing Gana and keeping clean sheets for fun. Robles worries me still at times, but I am starting to have faith in him.

He has the size, he commands his area and is a decent shot stopper. Perhaps we could improve on him, but watching Spurs v City both keepers looked shakey and made poor decisions. Bravo looks hopeless every time I see him.

I hope Robles continues to improve as he could be exceptional. It took 12 months playing for De Gea to settle in this league.
I really do think he's improved a lot this season. His command of the box and his catching of crosses has increased dramatically. He looks like he could have the makings of a top class keeper. Let's keep him in the team and see how he's done at the end of the season.

He was brought in as a number two - not his fault but he wasn't announced as a world class stopper - despite his performance in the FA Cup Final. For me, we were underwhelmed when he arrived, no big fanfare and real expectation given that Howard was publicly told he was number 1.

Early performances weren't great - poor positioning and communication didn't give much confidence - but when he stepped in for the first team late in Martinez's tenure he was on the wrong side of the decision to drop him. Possibly unlucky to lose out to Stek at start of the year - not much between them for me though - but what the past few weeks has shown is his growing confidence. Some great saves in recent weeks - and his pitch length sprint to join in with Lookman Sunday - made me think he may have a future. Pleased Ron kept him in today and was rewarded with a great performance - up to Robles now to claim it. He's getting his chance, hope he takes it.

He could save us 15 to 20m I think

Don't need to rush out and buy a keeper with this lad between the sticks

Don't agree mate. I think he's been excellent last few games and that was a superb save today but I don't want a great keeper, I want a world class keeper.

Sounds harsh I know Bubba but it's what we need to get to the next level.

Made up for Joel though, really grafting and the defence definitely look settled with him and that's been the case since last season when Tim Howard wrongly got lobbed back in the side

We will struggle to attract world class players in any position

The only way we get one of those is buying young or hitting lucky with a youth player
