Joel Robles

On form he is one of the best keepers in the premier. He has his faults but Looked excellent today. 1 great save to keep it 0-0. Took control of box and took every cross esp the last one. I would hope he can prove himself over a period of time now. It would save us the problem if finding a new keeper.

He has been very good, but to play devil's advocate, he hasn't been tested THAT much has he? I think it is a combination of our defense being surprisingly stellar and Robles in good form. I love the way he comes out for crosses though. He always seems confident.

He has the size, he commands his area and is a decent shot stopper. Perhaps we could improve on him, but watching Spurs v City both keepers looked shakey and made poor decisions. Bravo looks hopeless every time I see him.

I hope Robles continues to improve as he could be exceptional. It took 12 months playing for De Gea to settle in this league.

I've always thought Joel has been a decent keeper for us when he has played, he's still a decent age to I don't see no need going out paying top money for a replace at the present time. People have mention Hart he makes lots of mistakes as do many of the other so called top keepers.

Great save but I'm more impressed by him claiming everything. Howard would have been glued to his line and subsequently we'd have faced more shots and been much more likely to concede.

Good lad Joel. Keep it up.

Good keepers save you points. Joel did just that today - saved us 3 points. If that was De Gea it would be an absolute wankfest in the media, there'd be a 20 minute analysis of that 1 save on MOTD. It was brilliant and it gave us the win.

He is definitely good enough for the number 1 spot, I reckon the idiots garbling on about him being "not good enough" are going off his FIFA and FM stats and have a dopey permanent agenda.

He has defo improved especially on coming out for crosses. This is why I liked Stek initially because of the coming out for crosses. The amount of pressure it takes off the defence is immense. Because of his age I would give him a run out till the end of the season then assess him then. As all goalies do he will more than likely drop a clanger before the end of the season and its how he deals with that that will be telling. Joe Hart is a great shot stopper (most of the time) but is dodgy on crosses. Give me a competent cross taker all the time

Could also be our defenders have been better because they are more confident with Robles behind them mate.
