I think he's improved dramatically this season with his command of the box and catching crosses. The other factor to consider in this is that he actually hasn't played that much first team football. I think he's got a lot of improvement to come. Keep him in until the end of season then evaluate whether we need to buy a no1 keeper.Are they all really better than Robles? Most of them probably have a higher profile, I agree. Imo Robles never really got a fair chance uptil now. Sure he got a few runs in the team, but never felt he got the complete confidence from his managers.
Not saying he definitely is the answer, or on a par or better than the goalkeepers mentioned, as I'll need more evidence on that atm. However, have to say that I'm warming to him.
Has a lot of attributes you look at for a gk though. He's tall, athletic and agile. Also seems to get more commanding in his area by the passing of each match he plays.
Definitely worthy of getting a chance of establishing himself as our no 1 keeper for the years to come.
