i got the impression it was a calm down because when our fans get like that, we often put added pressure on the defence and it makes mistakes happen.

When the fans stopped stressing out we had about 5 minutes and we started controlling it again.

Meh, not quite as bad, as John Stones was virtually playing knockouts on his own 6 yard line, but a tit move yes.

He'd maybe have a point if we hadn't watched him and his pals defend like a Sunday league outfit for 2 years under Martinez. There was absolutely nothing to be calm about during that 10 minute or so spell yesterday.

Not realy, Stones was playing like a full on idiot and the abuse was directed at him personly, he was just being arrogant, yesterday the crowd was ready to blow up on the entire side, who were winning at the time.

I do think Joel was silly getting that yellow but shouldnt of had to feel the need to relax the crowd.

They were already making mistakes well before that. Which is why the fan reaction happened. If you watch the highlights back Robles reacted to the Gwladys after about the fifth unchallenged shot on goal.
