Why whose better th an him that we could afford?
Plus wages he is in the top 5 Prem keepers ATM ?
Spending money. On a good younger no 2 maybe!

That's who we are linked with forget Joe Hart his wages are a stopping point and he us full of mistakes!
If Joel carries on like this he saves us millions!

I don't see how we can think Pickford is any better than Joel, given he has only played about half a season in the EPL.

I would certainly need to see an awful lot more from Pickford to consider him a top class goalkeeper and one worth spending a fortune on.

Joel is doing well IMO and as far as I am concerned the pursuit of a goalkeeper is well down our list of needs right now.

That save yesterday was Nevillesque.

I'd go for Hart. He's got a winning mentality.

Theres always a keeper each season who has a good one of pulling saves out of being peppered for 90mins but still lose 3.0.

Robles is in a different class. The ones who have nothing to do all game but keep you in it when needed are the keepers you need.

Total waste of money, makes far to many individual mistakes.
I think people are a bit deluded with Hart because he played for England, which gets you media attention but at the same time were not exactly a top national side so it's nothing to get carried away about.
 
Cracking save near the end.

The team were generally poor yesterday, so there wasn't much competition, but for that save alone Joel got my MOTM vote.
 
His crazy mistakes were always the problem, maybe he has been able to get rid of this...who is our GK coach now? Maybe made a difference?

Admit it you ARE Joel aren't you? Well sussed.;)
 
There is some good goal keepers out there, the likes of Timo Horn, Bernd Leno both from Germany and who both have release clauses who could be getable? The kid Perin we were apparently scouting before he suffered an unfortunate ACL injury would of been great, tipped to be the successor to Buffon for Italy before Donnarumma's emergence.

But Joel by the week keeps making me doubt wether we need to look for a No.1 come the summer? He's been really good of late, cut out mistakes, been more commanding of his box and took crosses/corners and not punched and kept clean sheets. Not a lot more you can ask for really...

But if a player of the calibre of Leverkusen's Leno became a getable option come the summer then I think the club would have to serious look at it has he is a quality all round keeper!
