For me, Schneiderlin showed for the ball and Joel gave it to him. Schneiderlin lost the ball, it's his fault.

I think he was flat footed for the 1st and disappointed he got beat from that distance, but it happens. The whole team weren't at it today, including the 4 DMs Koeman played, none of whom got close to Kane 40 yards from goal.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear the whole team had been up late watching the boxing, we just looked off the pace and our passing was atrocious.

One final point, last few years, Martinez was heavily criticised for Everton dangerously playing it out from the back and putting us under pressure. But today, it was solely down to Joel. The assumption being, this was not an order but a decision, but under Martinez it was not a decision, but an order?

Who is available who would come? Unless we leverage our relationship with Riaola to get someone like Donurumma then who is there who is better than Joel?

there'l be plenty. I don't watch european footy so can't say too many names. We're everton mate, with loads of money and european football on offer next season most probably, we can definitely attract a fair few.

Robles has done better than most ( including myself ) has expected. I won't be chucking him under the bus based on one poor game.

He's still at the same age that Neville Southall was when he joined Everton and have you forgotten all the drama around DeGea in his early days with the Mancs ??...... Give him a break and let's see what happens .

There are plenty would could in the future be good, but if we don't have the patience to see where Robles ends up despite being one of the best keepers in the league this season why on earth would we go for someone who will need time to develop...

Unless we can get someone like Butland/Donurumma then why not stick with the developing keeper we have who has actually been effective at PL level?

Probably will do ok against wba and hull but not good enough for the "bigger" games that'll follow, Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal etc.

Funny you say that when he didnt do anything wrong against those three sides this season when we played them? And even against Chelsea no one said he was at fault for any of the goals

i think there's a casm of difference in robles to those 3. they're all in the top 10 keepers in the world ha. We can definitely go for someone who's young and will be at that sort of stage in 3 or 4 years time though. Just like what united did with de gea, patience would be required. I think that's our best hope tbh.

Patience? With this lot? He'd be on the phone to the Samaritans within 6 months.

Called this last week. First mistake and this lot will have the hatchets out. Lets give him to the end of the season and take it from there.

Hope his confidence is ok. Should be as they weren't exactly howlers and apart from the first 2 goals he actually had a good game.

Where's all the hate for Gana and Schneids who were equally culpable for those 2 goals.
