I've said it before (and been slated for having an opinion on this) but he just doesn't fill me with confidence. I wouldn't be disappointed if we were looking to strengthen between the sticks in the summer. Nothing against Joel, he's don't done anything majorly wrong but I don't get the same security feeling with him as I did with Martyn or Southall.

I would. He's at best a half decent back up keeper. That's all he'll ever be.

He's unlikely be the long term answer as our keeper, but, fair dos, he's a damned sight better than he was eighteen months ago.

If he keeps his current form up ( which is basically one poor game in ten ) for the rest of the season, he'd be comparable to most of the lesser keepers in the Premier League.

That's damning him with faint praise I know, and isn't the standard I want between our sticks, but I've seen worse turn out over the years.
