Robles performing competently in the seasons he sat on the bench patiently you mean - having two bad games here and there between Timmys disastrous performances where Timmy should have been dropped two years ago you mean?
Rightly now holding his place down - not the finished article as yet , but up there in the top four Prem keepers at the moment you mean?

He's been the best keeper at the club for 3 seasons and never got a proper run. He inexplicably got dropped for Bobby's boy after keeping clean sheets when we were in terrible form and has ousted Ronnies old chum this season.

Being the best keeper over an ageing Howard is nothing to be proud of, nor does it do anything to prove that "he's always done well when he's come in" That's just rubbish.

Also not sure how we can be in terrible form and keep clean sheets at the same time. Little bit of a contradiction.

He was at fault last week no doubt about it. But 7 clean sheets in his last 12 games suggests he doing more right than wrong. However I still think we shall see a new 'No. 1' come August.

Yes it's absolutely absurd. 13/14 he was embarrassing, too many mistakes to mention, 14/15 a little better but still did things like Krasnodar at home.
