Sorry Joe. I thought our defence, our midfield and attack were all equally crap.

The set-up was wrong; the personnel was wrong; our tactics were wrong and RK was worse than Lukaku.

The team lacked belief and confidence. They did not believe they could win.
+1

Its all on opinion by the media looking for a scapegoat when imo the manager sent the wrong team and formation out no one on MOTD blamed Robles - it was like kicking in when I was a kid on the park with no defence to confront me -one goal he was to blame for and that was a free shot it was like three pens imo - put Stek in and let se how he copes with that team debarcle!
Unt have failed to win at home for ages, lets see how the manager approaches this game hey!
if you look at our away form this season I have yet to see anything like we play like at home!

Only two poor games in the last 4 months. Spurs and Liverpool.

Which would suggest what we already know. He is decent but not quite top 6 standard.

Nothing has changed for me. I'd like a new number 1, but there a much bigger priorities to sort out first.

Who have you in mind DM should have signed Butland seasons ago, but he is on his way back from a serious ankle injury, he would have been England's no 1 but for that - we could have had him cheap tbh our team when Lukaku goes needs a complete rebuild!

I agree.

Two of the teams above us, City and RS have worse keepers than Robles. Possibly even Cech who is nowhere near the GK he used to be.

Robles all round game has improved this year but I still think he falls behind the top keepers in shot stopping and distribution. We do need to replace him at some stage if we are to consistently challenge top 4 position. But we have other area's that are a bigger priority as you say. Plus, at this stage, I doubt if we could attract a really top established keeper anyway.

I'm maybe being harsh on him but all three goals Saturday i'd have expected any top half premierleague goalkeeper to save - or at least come close. Same as the Harry Kane goal a few weeks ago.
He's been great for us since taking over as No 1 and he deserves full credit. He's been instrumental in turning our fortunes around following a pretty terrible Oct/Nov but he's never going to be the top class keeper we need to break the top 4.

Think you're being a bit harsh mate tbf. First two goals he had no chance. Not sure on his positioning for the first though, but again I think that's being ultra critical. With the third goal, I think he committed himself too early which made up Origi's mind for him. Once he went the other way he was off balance so was never going to save it. But if any of the three could be put down to a keeping error it was this one.

In fairness they were three very good finishes and sometimes you just have to give credit where it is due, even when it is the RS.

I like Joel.

He proper gets Everton and he's been great this season.

But... We need a better keeper.
This. I think he's had too much stick from Saturdays game, the defending in front of him was pathetic for all three. The only one he could be faulted for was not fronting up the third more, but when the defence parted like the red sea he was left rather helpless. But we do need better to challenge at the highest level.
