We have always been a knowledgeable fanbase and appreciated good footballing skills - even in opposition players - so when we get those composite skills in players of our own we should be prepared to be give them the benefit of the doubt rather than jump on their backs. I would rather a player be expressive - admittedly, and preferably, not within his own penalty area - than one who becomes frightened of his own shadow and opts for the big lump up the pitch to no one in particular. Even bloody Stoke don't play like that any more.
