John Stones transfer saga

Not really. I'm looking at this from a season perspective, not the short term buzz of telling Jose et al to swing it.

We have £5M spent this summer.

That's it. Bottom line.

The board deserve nothing more than a boot in the bollocks.
Dave , when you find yourself in a hole it is always a good idea to stop digging.

In the John Stones issue the manager, board and club have been excellent...so far.
Regarding the transfer in situation...wait until next Tuesday.

You were wrong two years ago about the managerial appointment, last year about the players we would bring in , don't be in such a rush to make it a hat trick....wait until Tuesday and you have my full permission to bring this back to show me how wrong I have been.

I hate to pis5 on everyone's cornflakes here but let's leave the celebrations till the deadline has passed... its obvious all these words and nice speeches are only a ploy to screw Chelsea for as much money as we can... stones wants to play for chelsea not everton , and we are playing a blinder in upping the price

Imagine he went now.

HAHAHA

spot on, when he said money can't buy everything, Roman will be like of course money can buy anything and up the bid to 40 million.

'In a hole'?

'We'll have no transfer budget if Stones isn't sold' - we've spent £5M. How is that being in a hole?

I hope I am wrong. I'll be delighted about it. Let's see if Stones does stay and how much is spent when this window closes shut.

I just want to go and give Stones a big hug, and tell him it will be alright.

He's 21, and has been the subject of one of the most relentless and intense media saga's I can ever remember.

Yes I reckon eventually he probably does want to go to a title challenging, trophy winning team, and if we can't get close to that ambition then I have no problems with him going.

I think he's been badly advised by his agent, and Chelsea have played some very dirty tactics to distract and confuse him.

He's just a young lad who has had the weight of the world on his shoulders all summer, and it's finally taken it's toll and he's cracked under the pressure.

Just my opinion of course.

Di Maria - 23/24 when he bought him, didn't exactly bring him through.
22 actually & the the original poster said which young talents has he signed & developed into top players rather than yoof

Ozil - Was a signing by the president, Mourinho didn't want him at first. Got away with that one.
Going to need proof of this. He didn't want him yet he started him ahead of Kaka which was highly controversial at the time.

Varane - Eh, maybe.
Don't be stubborn.
