John Stones transfer saga

Quote from BBC website:

It has been reported that Stones - who arrived from Barnsley for £3m in February 2013, and has four years left on his contract after signing an extension in August 2014 - has been forced to move out of his home and into a hotel after being targeted by angry Everton fans.

They then, are a disgrace to the name of Everton Football Club.

So you take that at face value then?

Oh, The Sun was were it was first reported.

I have no idea why you guys are pretending there's a media campaign against you. There are a few idiots in the press yeah, but from what I've seen the media have been largely supportive of Everton. A few murmurs of English players being overpriced but from what I've seen the response has been largely positive. Alot of ex-pros think Stones would be better served being nurtured at Everton & possibly making a move a few years down the line while others have seen this saga (and Berahino) as a huge victory for the competitiveness & parity of the League especially after watching Southampton pillaged over these past couple of years. Think some of you are mistaking the media beating a story to absolute death for clicks (see the entire Carneiro fiasco) with supposed hatred.

My only gripe with Martinez is he comes across as hypocritical with his subtle digs & rants but when you're owned by a Russian billionaire & managed by one of the most hated coaches in football history there's (rightfully) not going to be hardly any sympathy on your end of the spectrum. It's a shame this saga has tarnished what's left of the mutual respect both clubs have with one another but Mourinho's sharp, confrontational & fiery demeanor has a tendency to result in burnt bridges.

Again, kudos to Kenwright, not the most popular 'round these parts but he's managed to keep hold of your very best players (Barkley, Stones, Rom, Coleman & Baines)

So Chelsea and stones last ball of the dice will be for Stones to refuse to play today? Will be a nervous build-up.

He'll 100% play.....no way he'll refuse to play....

Stones has made his intentions clear with the transfer request (which Chelsea would have asked him to do).....with that Stones wasn't doing anything any of us wouldn't have done.....not one Everton fan would turn down an opportunity to work for another company and earn 3 times their current salary.....the kid is human, and its impossible to say no to an opportunity like that in a sport where 1 bad injury could end his career.....

But all this time Stones has stayed professional....he was abit shakey Wednesday night buy why wouldn't he (particularly if he's getting abuse from the Everton fans behind him)....

Robbie Savage, of all the pundits and to55pot ex footballers on TV, radio and in the media, this clown takes the biscuit.
Please can GOT instigate an annual 5hit on the Shoe Award as he would win it hands down.

It's not Savage's fault - he just happens to be one of the thickest creatures to ever walk with two limbs. Feels harsh to judge someone afflicted thus.

Since when have Everton fans had any respect for Chelsea?

It's like the highlighted sentence has been written by a completely different person to the rest of the post.

You can't be serious with the bold bit, you just can't.
