Boss song. One of our best for years.
True, but can we insert the word "only" after "Chelsea" so that it scans properly? Top song

McCarthy needs to up his game and stamp himself on 90 minutes of footy like we know he can. They could do with some central midfield protection, Barry is too slow now for professional football, but if he heads the ball once in a game that's seen as intelligent play that vindicates his selection. McCarthy needs to up his game but thinks he's being dragged down playing next to Barry.
Nonsense. Lescott was a bigger presence in defence than invisible man Jagielka. Distin was also the most obvious presence in that pairing too.lol Seriously?
Jags marshaled Lescott for years, same as he covers for Stones now. He might not be the most vocal team captain but he generally does a fine job of marshalling his central defensive partner.
Oh, well I still think John Stones could do better, PSG would seem a good move for £40/50m,and it would give Mourinho a bloody nose as well.I was referring to Mourinho
Lescott was covered by Jags every week ffs. He'd go and attack the ball and Jags would read the situation and cover when he made an error. If you couldn't appreciate that, then you really shouldn't be commenting on the game ffs.Nonsense. Lescott was a bigger presence in defence than invisible man Jagielka. Now we have a poor situation: two CBs who cant stamp their authority on a defence. And doesn't it just tell?
34 m was the agreed trigger point
However what changed was the Chelsea attitude towards Everton which infuriated Martinez hence deal off and an unhappy Jose. Stones wil 100% not be sold in this window.
Lescott was the dominant player (in both boxes) for Everton. Good job too. We all know how Jagielka goes missing for crosses.Lescott was covered by Jags every week ffs. Someone asked Martinez about that in his press conference the other day, can't remember his exact answer but it gave the impression that he would let the dust settle on this whole thing then look at the situation once the windows closed........I wonder if anybody is thinking about offering him a new, vastly improved deal. I suggested this towards the end of last season. He might just sign it.
To be fair, Chelsea started with a low bid and haven't gone over 30 million.
Suppose that's why Lescott has gone on to be an England regular. . .Lescott was the dominant player (in both boxes) for Everton. Good job too. We all know how Jagielka goes missing for crosses.

Dave, that is nonsense and you know it.Nonsense. Lescott was a bigger presence in defence than invisible man Jagielka. Distin was also the most obvious presence in that pairing too.

Lescott was at the peak of his game while he played at Everton and Jagielka, that is what got him his huge move to City.
He really wasn't a success at City and now at 31 years of age has been sold for 1m to WBA.
Jagielka is a current English international and captain of Everton.
Would you swop either Jagielka or Stones for Lescot ?, I doubt many would.
