John Stones transfer saga

35m plus keep him for a year would be good.

Can use him and that cash to go for a mega push for CL football.

If we could achieve that, we could then use that extra money to go for a top class replacement.

Obviously rather keep him doe.

Anyone that's getting worked up over this needs to go outside and look at some women.

Yes! Go outside, lob your porn horn out to the closest women and say ''what are we going to do about this?''

When you get arrested simply tell the police that John Stones has been the subject of a bid from Chelsea and everything will be sound.

Is this what we have become, hoping a player will give us one more year?

We were one of the Giants of the game and this board has allowed us to be easy pickings, lowering our expectations.

We will always be in this position while they are in charge. If Lukaku has a good season, it'll be the same with him next year.

Why aren't we as a fan base fighting back against this? It really is time we started applying huge pressure onto this board or we will be forever shackled.

We were indeed once giants of the game.

Then billionaires purchased other clubs, investing ludicrous amounts of money and through this process displaced the old guard with the new.

This is how things are now. We have to exist and achieve the best that we can - if that entails paying £3m for a lad from the lower divisions to turn him around on a 1000% profit in a few seasons, then that's how it has to be. How else are the club going to raise capital to invest?

The board are guilty of many things, the stadium is and always will be the single issue preventing one of said billionaires coming in to buy Everton. That said; they are few and far between and we're one of a number of options should someone be looking for a plaything on which to squander their ill-gotten gains.

What are you accusing the board of here, other than not being as rich as the owners of other clubs?

Let's take off our blue tinted glasses for a moment and think about it logically.

Stones is a very level headed intelligent young man, not like Sterling who is solely motivated by money.

We can offer him a first team start practically every game this season. Chelsea would be a squad player this season.

Europe, no games for us this season. Champions league with Chelsea.

Last seasons performance Everton 11th, Chelsea champions.

Money, currently 30K with us. Chelsea would offer in excess of 100K.

The killer for me is that John Stones wants to be the best defender he can. Who is the best manager in the world, and the best defensive manager as well. To have the opportunity to work with the greatest manager is the killer for me.

And sit on the bench...
