John Stones transfer saga

He became the scapegoat for every bad England performance, even the ones he wasn't playing in because he wasn't providing good enough competition to the players who were playing. I remember one game v Spain in their absolute pomp, they were murdering England but Jags was playing out of his skin and had kept a world class Torres and Villa quiet. Villa then slalomed past Gerrard Lampard (neither of whom put a challenge in) past the other CB then stitched Jags up with a bit of skill and a brilliant finish. England lost 1-0, and Jagielka got ripped to shreds by the media when he'd been England's best player by an absolute mile. Whenever he goes away with England the media debt his confidence and usually get him dropped got the second match of the double header. He then comes back to Everton and regains the form that makes him England's top CB (Terry aside) at the moment. Jags is class and would have been even better had he not snapped his cruciate.
I actually think he's played well for England mate. Just since he has his Everton performances have suffered. I honestly think becoming an international footballer damages a fair few professionals not just Jags like. He looks like he's coming back to himself pre international regular tbf

Can't see what Mourinho/Cahill's game is? Surely going about it in this way is more likely to make the club reject any bid from them even if they turn Stones' head? It just makes me laugh that the whole footballing world hasn't learnt that Everton don't just lie down and take it when it comes to selling players, it's probably the only thing Kenwright's good at ffs.

They aren't getting anywhere with the Club/Player themselves and so are using the media to avoid charges of tapping up.

Roberto also has his own buried skeletons it seems. Slightly hypocritical for him to lash out at Mourinho for his comments when he's been accused of the same thing in the past.

Cahill's comments on the other hand are inexcusable. There's an unwritten rule in the Premier League not to openly discuss opposing transfer targets in the media. Zero class that guy & a ridiculously inflated view of his own ability & importance.

No comparrison he praised a player, and stated he did not have just the funds for him!

I don't trust that BK fella at all lids. Remember last summer when just before the Rom deal he was saying to SSN that he ".. has a great relationship with the people at Chelsea..."

If you were John Stones agent you would contact Everton and say if your chairman thinks my player is the best centre back in England then pay him like he is the best or sell to a club who will.

We might have to give him a bumper pay rise to keep him.

Jons a lovely fella and if he goes, he'll go with my blessing. If we can get 34 million for him it's good business for us. What he cost us- what he's sold for = healthy return. This is us now unfortunatly. Cant believe any of you think we'd have a chance of keeping hold of any prospects with the crazy numbers the richer clubs are throwing around. Appears to me were small fry these days. I guess money ..maketh a club now. Just pleased I have seen the light and cancelled sky in the house including sky sports. Couldnt stand to see our great club become nothing but a chuckle for the tylers of the world. Made me red with rage just listening to him.
I have cancelled my football subscription too. Pained me to do it, but I hate what has happened to the working man's game. So out of touch with the passionate fan base now. The money is obscene and the costs are not in keeping with the reality of this countries financial state. Sad times.
