HAHAHAHAHA what?!
He is right mate, in our house we refuse to even say the word Jose until 8:01.

Spot on with what you said though, Jose is openly playing mind games, but just because Martinez smiles and is nice, he's playing the game too.

There isn't a manager out there who doesn't lie about transfers.

Now go wash your tongue

Hi all. Longtime lurker, first time poster and sometime ITK here.
Just so happens now is one of those times as Stonesy tonight signed a One year extension on his contract giving him a huge pay rise and establishing a minumum release cause that would make even Abramovich stop and think.
That is all.
If this is true then you sir shall receive the repping of a lifetime.

If not then you shall be burned at the stake.

A couple of points.

1. If Bruce Buck is now involved with Bill Kenwright then I think it means a couple of things , the first being that Chelsea realise that Mourinho has made a ham fisted attempt at signing the player and taken that responsibility from him(the usual first step in the fall from grace for Mourinho at a club)

2. Second, Chelsea will now start asking Everton if the player is for sale rather than telling Everton that he is. I think Chelsea may now actually listen when they ask if Everton have a price they will sell the player at and may even listen when Everton say they want to keep him for this season at least. Chelsea may regard the purchase of Stones as a longer term strategy.

Lastly, the poster who said that Stones had signed a new contract may well be right. Stones is valued at somewhere between 30m and 40m yet he is reportedly earning half of what the top earners at the club are earning. Everton, of course, will have gone to Stones and his agent and asked how this could be remedied. Keeping Stones on 35k for the season is a sure way of pushing him out of the club.An extended contract, a big pay rise and conditions allowing Stones to move whenever the time is "right" may well result in a new contract being signed and would immediately kill all this stupid transfer nonsense and allow the club to think about the new season.
What is certain imo is that something has to happen about the amount of money Stones earns if he stays.
