John Stones transfer saga

The reason Mourinho has changed tact is because he's obviously been hushed by somebody who has actual control of the purse strings, who realises that with every word he utters the price goes up.
Hopefully because Everton won't take any of his pathetic bullying nonsense
Go any worry Wenger you shallow excuse for a man

Martinez won't accept any bids. He's adamant about him staying and he doesn't change his mind easily, we all know that. Getting to Kenwright will be the only way Chelsea, or any club, will be able to pry Stones away this summer.

okay.

We sell stones. sign for arguments sake and sign 3 top players with the money. are we weaker?

or better yet barca sell Messi right now and look to invest the money. They sign stones, a Ronaldo in waiting, a Cristiano Ronaldo in waiting, pogba, De gea.

yes right this minute they are weaker, but in 2 years they are even better than what they are now. so the money would be invested into a better future for them. They lose one top class player who improves a rival but in a couple of years their first 11 is better than anyone else's.

is that not improving?

You don't sell your best assets...unless the offer is too good to refuse.

Spurs selling Bale comes to mind.

I found a link last night , and never thought anything about it - It was where BK was in communication with the communications chairman at Chelski and letting them know how unhappy he was over the attempt to buy John Stones so may be the action has worked - following up the letter of refusal they were sent from day one!

Excellent news Mourinho has backed down.

one thing that I think was definite was that he would have been loved at this club a lot more than he ever was at United and the pleasure he provided to our fans would have been ten times that of the indifferent hordes at Old Trafford

Like he really cares over the medals and the added profile and money he's got for playing for Man U.

Rooney is nearly thirty and on 250k per week.
Stones has his whole career ahead of him.
Is he really on 250k? Christ, to put that in perspective, if United gave us Rooney, Evans, and 26 million for Stones, that money would only cover 2 years worth of Rooney's wages.

Can you post it mate?

He's on close to 300k including bonuses mate. It's ridiculous but Sid the Snake is his agent after all!

Mourinho denied nothing btw, he just answered 'no' to everything including "have you had a 2nd bid turned down" which would obviously be 'yes'

It won't be over til the club announce he isn't for sale this season which imo I hope they do. Anything less than £45 million would be a terrible deal with Barnsley having that 15-20% sell on fee.
