John Stones transfer saga

Dramatic change of stance from Mourinho, think he's had a ticking off meself .
Sky as usual, reporter chatting poo...Etoo had already left Chelsea.and as such was a free agent.
When the time comes for Stones to move, I would be happy to take a cheaper price from any other club than that lot.

:pint2:So, with our history of successful buys from the [Poor language removed] any support for a cheeky 10 mill for Ballotelli?

Second striker to support Lukaku and piss the [Poor language removed] off as we embrace him and he finds his home at GP and fulfills the potential he has......
If you think Balotelli is worth 10m you need to stop using glue.
They are desperate to get rid of him. They offered him out on loan to Udinese (or another Italian team?) while paying 80% of his wages and they got told to do one.
They would take 5m guaranteed. Not that we should be anywhere near him as he is complete poison.
Hilarious to watch but the jokes on you if he's in your team.

Not really, days of Everton doing that kind of thing are gone. If we were going to sell him we would of done so already. If we had any intention of letting him go naming a price would have clubs coming in realistically, not trying it on with silly bids. But there is no price for a player who is staying at the club.
dream on

The tv money has completely changed our position.

Its not right to say dream on.

The facts speak for themselves
I think that's absolutely right. Hatred for the board, and the bad taste of past experience is clouding a lot of people's judgement.

We've got to be one of the toughest negotiators when it comes to selling players now. Look at what we got for Lescott and Fellaini - and they wanted out. Beyond them, I suppose you could single out the Arteta transfer - but nothing else since Rooney.

We don't need to sell to buy, and I'm certain we'll see that to be true before the window closes.

I think that if we do sell Stones, it'd be for way above his objective value. I just don't believe any club is willing to pay that. This media offensive by Chelsea has been about trying to soften us up, and hope that Stones sticks the knife in to force us to sell on their terms. It hasn't happened.

The club has handled this brilliantly so far, in my mind. Not least the way they've refused to publicly engage in Jose's games.

I wonder how many other mid table clubs have sold 2-3 players for nearly 30 million in the last 10 years??

It skews our net spend figure massively.

To a degree yes in relation to TV money being huge but that will be about £6 million less than in 2013/14 add to that no run of note in either of the domestic cups and some £28 million less in transfer income things won't be a rosy as some are expecting. Ok there was the EL but that won't have brought that much in and based on what we know commercial income will not have grown by astronomical amounts

There may be some left in the existing transfer budget as it stands but I doubt there is but let's suppose there is I doubt there is enough to buy even a top championship player

The commitment made to buy Deulofeu following his loan spell and the free signing of Cleverley which when I say free will have come at a cost of a million or so by the time you factor in a signing on fees, agent fees etc will I suspect have just about taken care of the readily available funds needed for the up front transfer fees . There may have been a boost in cash received from players sold in or before 2014 but that will not have balanced out against players purchased last season.

The squad is far from balanced.iIts no secret that the manager wants more in and will be trying to pull in favours but in these days of FFP and the supposed wealth of PL clubs everything will come at a cost.

My guess is that Everton will try and get players in before any sale is announced, which is going to happen before the end of September, for once clubs get a sniff that another club has money the price is driven up

Time of course will tell but irrespective the Stones deal will happen at some point in the next 12 months my guess it will be sooner rather than later

Have you banged your head mate?

We don't get top sponsor money or on the box as much as the top clubs, we don't have a suger daddy so that why we sell stones for a very high price,if they don't like it jog on and we will keep him. We have a great spine forming. Stones,McCarthy, Barkley, Lukaku and great players in coleman, baines, del, we have to buy players and try and win the F.A cup of get back in Europe because we will lose our spine
