John Stones transfer saga

So Ferdinand thinks he should go to United. But it will be tough, because of the big mental step, that wasn't the case for Rio who went from leeds to united. Everton only get a brief mention in the articles now. Nice of them to remember us at all I suppose http://www.theguardian.com/football...chelsea-manchester-united-everton-john-stones

To be fair he's seen what happens when someone unsuited takes the step from Everton to United. After that experience working under our old coaching staff no wonder he has a low opinion of us

Didn't think he was leaving but am pretty convinced he will now.

Johnny Evans and maybe that centre half from Napoli in.

Why? Because Rio Ferdinand said he should join his former club?

In a way it may do us some favours. Puts a doubt in Stones mind about whether Chelsea really is a good place for him to go now "Rio" has spoken out against them.

What???

I'm of the complete opposite opinion. He's more likely to stay now than at any point in the last month.

The media are desperately trying to keep the story alive. Nothing is happening so they're resorting to dragging out rentaquote ex-pros to give their tuppence worth. Man Utd haven't even bid for him.

The thing that scares me is our lack of signings, that usually means a lack of money, and what usually happens next is we sell a prized asset to fund some signings.
