I wonder how he's gotten away with the criticism, for instance, over the amount of goals from crosses we concede. He seems to be immune to the flak over it.

IMO, he would be warming the bench for a title chasing club for a good while; they;d dose his appearances to the odd league match against poor opposition and CL games that are pretty much dead rubbers.

Man U signed ferdinand for about £30m 13 years ago. There's been a fair bit of inflation in transfer fees since then.
