John Stones transfer saga

The arrogance from Chelsea is mind blowing. They've been told no, and yet they keep trying, hoping the player will rock the boat. They are like a spoilt child who always get what they want. Well this time they won't, mourinho is losing the plot and so is his aging defence.

I hope they crash and burn and we beat them in a couple of weeks or whenever it is we play them.

A classless club, this time money hopefully won't talk and we'll make a real statement of intent......
they keep asking mate because on past form Everton are like the local bike in the pub, they might say no i am not like that anymore ,early doors but always end up with there knickers off giving you what you want at the end of the night anyway

Well in Naisy!

Another way to look at this is if we sell, we strengthen an opposing team we are trying to displace in the top5. Think this is plays quite the part as well.

I'm finding it hard to understand Jose's logic at this point:

The first low bid was to turn the player's head and encourage a transfer request, further public increments won't exacerbate this, that seed is already planted. Therefore bids 2 and 3 are for the attention of Everton Football Club, but both are well short of current market value for the asset.

He may think we are a small club, but I don't think we've ever done anything to indicate we are just plain stupid.

Sick of this now - If it's going to happen so be it - Give Martinez every penny of the money and let him bid the full amount for players we KNOW are up for sale

Yarmolenko, Austin, Mori and one other CB - and no dicking around with derisory bids.

Hahahaha. I'm a numpty for stating what I'd rather do? Isn't that basically what your argument is?

You might have a point.... If it was September. So take a leaf out of your own book, and deal in reality, because the transfer window isn't closed yet.

No you're a numpty for storming in and branding my post as coming from my backside when if you take a breath and read it it's clearly quite logical.

All I said was that I think it is feasible that selling Stones, replacing him with two centre halves, and spending £30m on a playmaker and a striker could leave us with a better team.

Anyway Stones is leaving. Deal with it and simmer down.

I agree whole heartily with that sentiment, it is feasible.

The PROBLEM tho is that we shouldnt HAVE to sell stones to bring in those players. There is unimaginable wealth coming into the Premier League. Others have no problems spending that money without selling their prized assets.

If the player wants away, thats one thing. If he is perfectly content here(and i think Stones is, he's a geniunely good lad by all accounts) you shouldnt be forced to sell.
