John Stones transfer saga

Well, let's hope Everton gets a headache this time.
or time of the month, and tell them to f off and call them all sorts and scream down the phone" YOUR NOT HAVING HIM D***HEAD,DEAL WITH IT" slam it down, pick it up again ring and blubber, you. you then put the phone down again, that would fox them.
think i have finally flipped as i can mentally see Kenwright doing that

I mean, its the truth. Its POSSIBLE it could make the team better, its just that i cant think of any teams that got better when they did this. Spurs didnt get better after they sold Bale, those lot over the park after the rat faced joke of a human being left didnt get better.

But there are 2 differences there.

1 : Bale and Suarez were out and out match winners who's goals gave their teams numerous points a season. As good as Stones is so far and possibly will be he's not on that level whatsoever.

2 : The respective managers wasted that money on overpriced rubbish, doesn't mean Martinez will.

They were 2 of the best players in the world at their peaks, Stones isn't. A solid experienced defender could replace him now (without being the obvious long term replacement) and the extra money could be spent on the areas of squad we need players in.

It's all hypothetical and probably wishful thinking but i'd say it's possible if the money is spent wisely we could improve the overall quality of the squad right now.

We shouldn't have to sell Stones in order to do that but thats the way it is so Martinez has 2 choices. Sell stones and spend lots, or keep him and spend little.

Goodbye my JFS.
Goodbye my friend.
You have been the one.
You have been the one for me.

I am a dreamer and when I wake,
You can't break my spirit - it's my dreams you take.
And as you move on, remember me,
Remember us and all we used to be
I've seen you cry, I've seen you smile.
I've watched you sleeping for a while.
I'd be the father of your child.
I'd spend a lifetime with you.
I know your fears and you know mine.
We've had our doubts but now we're fine,
And I love you, I swear that's true.
I cannot live without you.

I always though that song was the most turgid, over-emotive, wet, despicable offal I'd ever heard but you know what ...
Thinking about Stonesy leaving, and how I'd feel, the song suddenly starts to make sense for the 1st time.

Maybe that Jeremy Hunt fella has a bit of talent after all.

If he goes now the board will get more than a flying fancy air message! The protesters will send round James blunt to sing a song of dismay. That'll teach em ;)

This is such BS, remember the time Chelsea gave us a discount of Rom because we have such a good workling relationship?

And when asked about another possible approach for Stones on Thursday, Martinez said: "The player is not for sale and that is the end of it."

He added: "Our situation has been very clear from the beginning. We are not a selling club who will lose our best performers."

When hes sold, is it likely he will resign?

@davek
Did ginger minge when he said all that in the past?

Same principle applies though, if we sell Stones we won't get value for money because everyone knows we've got a bag of cash and a gaping hole at the back. Maybe if it was still June, not with less than two weeks left.
