Well he’ll b playing next to jags or watching terry from the bench, and the fact he might just have a little bit more defensive work at everton the nxt few years, so where do you think he will benefit more!

Bill Kenwright said: "David Moyes and I agreed Wayne has to be a £50m player now.
"I would turn down any bid for him and say: 'Thank you very much. What else do you want to talk about?'"

He then sold Rooney for £20m+£7m in add-ons and cried to his mum over it. This is from Fergie's book - ‘It was Aug 2004 and we had just played Everton. Bill Kenwright was crying. As we studied the Everton chairman in his sorrow, he announced that he would like to make a call. Through his tears, Bill said: “I’ll need to phone my mother.”
“They’re stealing our boy, they’re stealing our boy,” he said down the line.
Totally different time, we were skint then, we aint skint now with the biggest TV deal ever just been paid out for the first of 5 years.

If ever there was a time we don't need to sell a top player it's now.

Make no mistake though, the bids could go upto 40/45m, I said it 6 months ago, there is no young defender in Europe I would have over Stones and that's exactly the way Chelski, Manure and Shitty feel about it.

3 way bidding war here if the Club allows it to gather pace.

Times have changed thankfully.

Been an armchair Everton fan (active Barnsley Fan) since the signing of John Stones. Interesting to see Chelsea after him and will be interesting to see if Everton can do what Liverpool did with Gerrard and fight Mourhino off. He seems keen though:-

Some points from a Barnsley view. I was pleased he signed for Everton and allowed him to play and develop at Prem level. I guess you agree that the £3M (or £2M whatever you read) was derisory now reading comments here. However John is a good lad, you won't get him pushing to move, he won't do a Sterling or a Delph on you. If this move happens it will be down to the clubs and not John Stones who i believe is very happy at Everton. He will be a future England captain, will be a world great and will be at the top of the list for years to come. Half of me wants you to hang on to him so i can remain an Armchair Evertonian and see him progress (after all i don't want to be a Chelsea supporter, armchair or not), and half wants him to go as it will trigger a sell on clause and help our club survive and progress (I think its 75% we have in the contract :)).

Anyway good luck with the season and good luck with the battle for Stones. Im sure he won't be distracted and will give 100% whatever is happening.

Yes he has, he's very happy here and see's his future at Everton.

Speaking about his future, he made clear he is enjoying life at Goodison Park. He said: 'I am very happy to be at Everton for the future.

'My aim right now is to try and nail down a regular spot in this Everton team and hopefully that will take care of playing for England. I have to keep learning off the likes of Phil Jagielka and keep progressing at this club.'

Or have someone threaten to break his legs if he leaves for Chelsea, to be more precise..

Is this a mis-type or am I understanding it wrong?

As a football fan i'm not bothered about how much they pay, the money will make no difference to my life. What i want is to watch great footballers at everton and ive been saying for a while, stones will be the best cb this country has produced.
