John Stones transfer saga

Reading one of the rags this morning, it says the bid was 16 million with 4 million add ons. They are apparently prepared to go to 20 million with 5 million add ons when certain achievements are met.

GTF Chelsea you cheeky gets.

The board will be lucky to have £15m to spend this year. Revenue will be lower than last year, wages higher and there is no significant money from sales like Fellaini

Revenue lower? Lower league position but new TV money and European football
Wages higher? Distin, Alcaraz, Eto'o, Lennon, Atsu - all off our books.

Hmmm...

The new TV deal kicked in last year and Everton finished lower so will be getting less money this year - some of which might be replaced by Europa. My guess is that revenue will be about £117m. Then you've got roughly £73m on wages, £27m on operating costs and £5m on debt repayments - leaving £12m for transfers.

It's all guesstimates but it shows that £30m is out of the question without sales

Would be gutted to lose him and I think 20 Million is no where near enough

If he is to go, I think it should be for Sterling money

We'll struggle massively without him, and finding a replacement would be difficult, so Chelsea must be forced to pay a premium for him

We'll probably end up selling him for less though. mainly because Jose Mourinho is a shrewd man and the press won't be as willing to do us a favour regards to bumping the price up as they did for Sterling

Selling our best young player for Sterling level money would put us in direct comparison with Liverpool, and the amassed Kopite apologists in the media simply will not let that happen. They will do everything they can to not only get Stones out of our club but also get him out for less than Sterling went for

Should have absolutely nothing to do with the press/media etc...he is an Everton player, Everton should decide the price...don't wanna pay it? Do one...as has been said before, we don't have to sell
