John Stones transfer saga

You would have thought we'd have had that talk with him if we were serious about keeping him.

The fact he's handed in a transfer request (allegedly) tells me everything about this board.

Well if no-one at the club wants to have this chat with John, give me his number and I'll tell him.....

(Agree if it was going to be said it should have been said weeks ago)

It's not daft. Selling now for any amount of money under at the very least £50m is a disaster. We're literally waving the white flag.

One player and one fee isn't worth binning off the dignity of the entire club.

A player wanting to leave isnt hurting the dignity of the club.

The club selling the player to cover costs/running the club/behind the manager like we've done in the past IS

Lads I know Everton can turn down his transfer request but what if he plays like Lescott (against Arsenal). Would you still want him?

Not arsed. Promote Browning, finish 15th, don't care, you can't let a domestic rival do this to your club.

We aren't West Brom. Or at least we shouldn't be.
They had the same problem over the park with Suarez and this summer Sterling. Whilst I agree in principle with your sentiments, once a player decides he doesn't want to stay and hands in a transfer request, it's end game unfortunately.

I'll wait for the facts. He could have handed it in last week when it was first rumoured. I'm gutted but I can't blame him. He's not an Everton fan, he's not even playing for the manager who bought him. He wants to play on the biggest stage possible. It could turn out to be a massive mistake but it could turn out to be one of the best decisions he has made for him personally. He was my fave player but you have to be realistic.

If he goes i will be fuming but you cannot blame the lad as he will win trophies and play in europe regularly which with us he will not. What's peeved me off is the total way he has been obviously tapped up by Mourinho but no one in the Fa has the balls to say anything to the chosen one because he's part of the big 4.

It's the timing and circumstance, which you ought to understand.

We cannot sell the player now, we just can't. If we do, we are confirming our status as a selling club, displaying zero ambition and basically waving the white flag and telling every talented player we have to jump ship at the first opportunity.
