John Stones transfer saga

Whatever happens, we now need to sell him ASAP. Don't want a player who doesn't want to be here being a first teamer for us.

Problem is that now means we're needing five quality players to come in in nearly as many days. The timing is absolutely horrible, and to be honest has shocked me a bit. Thought he had a much better head on him than that. Desperately in need of PSG/ United etc to come in to bid. This should be sorted by tomorrow. But knowing Everton, it won't be.

Time for a new avatar I think.

Not just that, we need the time to spend the cash.

Just broom this Judas quickly and get buying players.

every summer we have to put up with the same [Poor language removed]. i say sell the lot of them and close goodison down, it would save on alot of heartbreak.

Does this really change anything though? Martinez said in that press conference before the City game that whether or not he had but in a transfer request wouldn't change matters, he would not be sold.

You seem to have gone temporarily mad and forgot Bill Kenwright owns Everton there.

your joking arnt you, sounds terrible that game. they conceeded 2 at home to Malmo last week. I dont mind him, its just that you think hes the next best thing. probably why only southamptomn have put a bid in for him like and no other teams
Because Southampton's track record in the transfer market has been so bad over the last few years?

Everton shall say something not remain slient.

If we have any piece of ambition in our club, we need to reject that request and all offers in this window. Our board and manager would look like total fools. Let Stones look like a fool, not the club. Even through I understand his request, we need to keep him, otherwise Lukaku and Barkley are gone as soon as we sell him in this window...

In the US do talented basketball/american football players push for transfers to other clubs ?

In the NFL, no. There's a hard cap in the NFL, so each team can only spend a certain amount of money on its players to compromise their team. The best of the best, almost always stay with one team their whole careers. Of course, there's always some very good players that leave for other teams. Usually this happens because the team they play for can't afford to fit them in under the salary cap and they think they have a good replacement that they can fit in under the salary cap. A good example of this was Demarco Murray leaving the Dallas Cowboys, for the Philadelphia Eagles this summer. Dallas just couldn't afford to fit him in under the salary cap, so they had to let him go.

The main difference between the NFL and the futbol world is the annual NFL rookie draft. The team with the worst record drafts first and the team that wins the Super Bowl drafts last. They pick from the available College football players. The player they draft (or pick) can only sign with the team that drafts them. Sometimes the first player selected, can completely turn around a franchise like Andrew Luck did for the Colts (but their General Manager and Coach are terrible and he won't ever win with those guys in charge). There is way more parity in the NFL, than most competitive leagues in the world. There is usually at least one team that goes from worst team in the division to winning the division every year. U really can't compare the two worlds.

And as far as the NBA, that's an absolute crap league and there's WAY too many details to explain.

Question mate - would you blame Roberto in the slightest for walking off the back of this?

I actually don't believe he's had any input on this whatsoever. I think he's been badly double-crossed by Kenwright and Bobby has been woefully naive about how business is done at Everton.
