John Stones transfer saga

It's OK selling if you have someone ready to come in and take over but we don't and will need 2 cb if we sell, which would take most of the stones money, its not worth it. Better of just buying on cb. Let's hope stones doesn't do a sterling and pushed for the move

Team like Chelsea come in for a player, Everton can use all the 'not for sale' rhetoric that they can muster but he's gone. Now it's all about getting the highest price. Anyone who thinks it's going any other way has clearly learnt nothing.

....I don't ncessarily think that is the case. Everton hold all the aces, it depends on whether Chelsea are prepared to meet our valuation. Much also depends on whether the player wants to leave. I'm not generally naive but I suspect Stones will not be banging on the managers door just yet.

Jose definitely trying to get Stones to agitate for a move

This was coming, I'm actually surprised more of our players haven't been the target of bids from lesser clubs than Chelsea. You can't preform like we did last season and not have players looking to their future. If we play the same tactics again this season and get the same results we will not be able to hang unto any quality players. From here until the winter transfer window is critical for the future of our club. We need to hang onto the players we have and get things right in the first half of the season or the players will be thinking of moving on to avoid another end of season scramble.

The fact none of our players are agitating for a move suggests they don't blame the manager for last season. There's good lads in our dressing room.

So, "critical for the future of our club" ay? Ay? Hahahaha. It's not even remotely close to being that for Everton Football Club. We're an institution, and we're not going away until Yellowstone Park explodes.
