John Stones transfer saga

Let's be honest we have been here before and more often than not it doesn't end up well for us does it? I think he could be off to be fair
I would agree if it was a couple of years ago. Martinez has come out and said we do not need to sell so he will come under pressure if it happens. If he does go it will need to be at least 40 million as he won't be easy to replace. Be interesting to see how this pans out.

Jose's punkin' us out here, he sounds like Robert Redford in that movie when he was measuring up the flute for Demi Moore.

Not sure he would have a choice if the board step in and accept an offer

They're trying so hard...

Who's Stones agent? That bellend that manages Sterling as well or what?!

What Mourinho should be able to stand back and enjoy will involve Stones wearing Chelsea blue in time for the Premier League opener against Swansea on 8 August. Everton face an almighty task to stop the 21-year-old’s head from turning. Speaking to the Portuguese, although predictably keen to keep his counsel for now, makes one believe this deal will happen sooner, rather than never. With the 34-year-old Terry entering the final phase of his career, Stones, with four England caps, has been identified as the heir apparent in the Chelsea manager’s attempt to create a new spine, in which Thibaut Courtois has already replaced Cech.

The fact none of our players are agitating for a move suggests they don't blame the manager for last season. There's good lads in our dressing room.

So, "critical for the future of our club" ay? Ay? Hahahaha. It's not even remotely close to being that for Everton Football Club. We're an institution, and we're not going away until Yellowstone Park explodes.
I was talking about going forward not going away !!!

I dont think he'd sit on the bench myself. I think he'd partner terry for a season then Zouma.

It's be stupid from their perspective to pay 40 million now for someone to mostly sit on the bench for 12 months while picking up a hefty wedge every week. It's make more financial sense for them to wait 12 months, save on his wages and come back again in 12 months time with a bigger offer.

I can't see them offering more than 35 million, and I can't see us accepting that.
