Hate to pile the weight of more expectation on him but he oozes class and seems to have an old head on his young shoulders too . We have been incredibly lucky that he has stayed free from injury allowing him not to just grow into the first team but become integral to how we go forward from here. World cup? I would love him to travel and enjoy the squad atmosphere in Brazil but don't want him picking up an injury or have his confidence knocked in the group stage where we (England) look dodgy at best to get through to next round , my guess is the media will be scalp-hunting , casting about for scapegoats when the inevitable happens . So travel yes,play no so arsed.

Dunno but he was fking great today, even if he did over commit and slip. His wing switching balls to Mirallas were unreal, absolutely quality today, demanded the ball constantly and set off with a plan to open them up, was like he was an attacking midfielder at times, and he still did a lot of great defensive work.
Not Stones fault today.

Looked like he was beaten for there headed goal also. Great ball player but still green defensively. As has Baines and Coleman this season. All good with the ball but not brilliant defenders in my book.
