In Stones Barkley and Mcarthhy we have an unbelievable spine for the future. Keep them all and build a team around them and Everton will consistently be a top 4 team - at least.

Reckon he'll get the number 5 shirt next Season? Obviously isn't symbolic but to have the number 5 would mean a massive step up in the pecking order you would feel.

Now we can speculate all day long about contracts and who will be sold and who stays, thing is when The agent fills the player full of sthi and gets him to request a transfer we can do SFA about it and at the same time when Martinez wants to buy Lukaku he will be told you must sell to buy, harsh as it is 4th or not any deal with Chelsea will involve one of the three Barkley ,Coleman or Stones. This talk about a 20 million war chest FFS would,nt pay for a small riot. We need at least 5 new faces this summer to have a chance in what ever european tournament we end up playing in next year. Apart from Lukaka money we will need to spend 40million to stay in top 4 or 5.

How much did we need to spend this year to get there?

And before you say other clubs will spend big, United have spent around £80m on two players this year, Spurs spent over £100m on midfielders and Arsenal spent £42m on Mesut Ozil.

If we finish 4th, we can spend around £20m on a stiker, get Gibson fit, get Deulofeu back on loan again next season and tie up Barry on a permanent deal. That'll leave us in a very healthy position.

Won't go to the world cup. On quality and form he should though. *May* make the 30 man squad (Do they still do that?) But he should just prepare himself in pre-season for being a first team regular for us.

Plus arsed with him getting injured on international duty.

I'd say Deulofeu probably won't stay if Barca's situation continues to be as it is.

Other than that - spot on.

Aye, if they don't overturn their transfer ban, he'll be in their first team next season. Pity because another season here would be the best situation for all parties.

What it has show though, is that Everton is seen as an ideal destination for the very best of raw talents to come and learn their trade for a year or so. Other clubs beside Barca will be looking to loan talent out next season and we've put ourselves in the position to receive the very best of them.

Everloan aren't we?

Indeed, and we can only benefit from that. Hope we can pull off another one like Del next season.

So hope he gets Heitinga's old no.5 shirt next season so I can get the new Umbro shirt with his name and no. on it. I know it's childish but Everton being this boss and having such a phenomenal talent on our books brings brings out the kid in me

I'm the same mate, I obsess over squad numbers a bit too. Number 5 would be perfect for him, and I'd like to maybe see Barkley get Deulofeu's number 10 if he's not here next season.
