I think pressure sorts out the ones with real quality and the ones that don't.

I think Stones should be ok. The way he deals with the press and just strides out confidently is a good sign. Where he will need to improve is his positioning and just simply a certain shroudness when playing with more experienced players but that wont have anything to do with pressure.

Stones would of changed England's approach single handily ... The fact he would of naturally brought it our of defence would of created space galore for our cm's and wingers .. One thing that cost us was pointless passing across defence allowing the other teams to get back,into position .. Stones would of brought it out fact

I'm not saying he won't be fine but some of the hype is so overboard. Let the lad play he doesn't need that at his age.

To be honest in what way is he being hyped to the degree it will be detrimental? We aren't the media, I feel he is the type of player who needs plaudits, he needs to believe that he is good enough, he is facing quality strikers and he needs to know he is good enough.

Play him, week in week out. He's more than good enough.

Personally I'd like to see what he's like next to McCarthy in Midfield, would allow James to get forward more, be excellent protection and get him in the side.

Not allowed to do that for England, you have to pass it around the back for a couple of minutes while Gerrard will take it off you then hit a 40 yd ball to the opposition. That's the England style of play so Stones wouldn't fit in.

It was the S*n leading with the story I think. Not exactly credible. But I'm happy to turn down all offers for him. Rather we kept our best players together than cashed in on them.
